🍽️ GlanceVision Dinner Order System - Quick Start Guide
Welcome to GlanceVision! This guide walks you through setting up and using the Dinner Order System for a seamless event experience.
1. 👨🍳 Create a Waiter
1.
Open the
Manager Dashboard
.
2.
Tap
Waiters
in the navigation menu.
3.
Press
➕ Add Waiter
.
4.
Enter the
Waiter’s Name
and
Contact Info
.
5.
Tap
Save
.
2. 🍽️ Generate Menu Items
1.
Navigate to the
Menu Items
tab.
2.
Tap
Generate Menu Items
.
3.
Enter:
•
Name
(e.g., “Shrimp Scampi”)
•
Optional Temperature
(e.g., “Medium Rare”)
•
Allergy Info
or
Notes
if needed.
4.
Tap
Save
.
3. 🗓️ Create an Event
1.
Go to the
Events
section.
2.
Press
➕ Create Event
.
3.
Fill out:
•
Event Name
•
Date & Time
•
Number of Tables
•
Seats Per Table
(default: 10)
4.
Select the
Menu Items
you want available for the event.
5.
Tap
Save
.
4. 🪑 Assign Waiters to Tables
1.
After creating an event, go to the Event Details page.
2.
Swipe a table row to open the swipe menu.
3.
Select “Assign Waiter” from the menu.
4.
Pick your waiter from the list.
5.
Confirm via haptic feedback and UI feedback.
5. 📝 Create an Order
Once the
order-taking start time
has passed, waiters can begin submitting orders.
a. ✅ Normal Order
1.
Tap on an
available seat
at the table.
2.
Choose a
menu item
from the list.
3.
(Optional) Select a
temperature
if applicable.
4.
Tap
Submit Order
.
5.
Confirm order via haptic feedback and UI feedback.
b. 🚫 Mark a No Show
1.
Tap on a
seat
where the guest did not show up.
2.
Select
Mark as No Show
.
3.
The seat will be marked, and no order will be submitted.
4.
Confirm via haptic feedback and UI feedback.
6. 📺 TV Display (Dinner Order System View)
The
TV Display
provides the
Kitchen Staff
with real-time updates on the Dinner Order System.
What You’ll See:

Shows
Orders Placed
(e.g.,

No Shows Count
•
Menu Items Ordered
•
A scrolling ticker displaying live tallies (e.g.,
Shrimp Scampi: 23
)

Color indicators:

: All orders placed

Yellow
: Partial orders placed

: No orders placed
